The Mastodon is one of the largest and heaviest assault transports fielded by the Legiones Astartes, several times the size of a Land Raider and reserved for the most heavily fortified targets. Its siege melta array burns a breach through fortress walls and hardened armour before the vehicle delivers its embarked assault force directly into the ruins—most often the 29th’s slow but formidable Cataphractii Terminators.
